Flights

Ok, I'd like to take a moment to explain a little bit about flight events.

1. Flights are determined by your handicap.
2. You can view your flight by going to the Statistics page.
3. If you do not have a flight, you will not see any flight events inside the game.
4. If you do have a flight, you'll only see events that correspond to the game/skill/swing type for the flight you're assigned to.
5. When you view leaderboards in the game you'll only see other members of your flight.
6. If you're logged into the web site and view the leaderboard, you'll only see members of your flight.
7. On the web site, if you view a leaderboard for a flight event that you're not assigned to you'll see the entire roster of players - not the flight view. I may just make them invisible on the web site too but I wanted to leave them in case someone was curious.

That's about it. If you have any questions or any trouble with flight events please feel free to PM or email me at helpme@lspn.net.

Mark,

My leader board on the website and in-game say 2 people have entered the A flight but clicking either one shows "no players"

Thought you should know

They could be in a different flight from you. I tried something new with the new system where multiple flights could compete in the same event but you'd only see people from your flight when you view the leaderboard. This helps reduce the number of flight events. Before there was something like 72 flight events. Right now there are only 3.

One small issue, I can't see events that I made since I'm not in that level. As a league director shoudn't I be able to see all events in my league? As a example if I make flights and I'm in "B" I will not be able to see others
Edit: It is in my events but not current events page.

You should be able to see all events on the web site. It's only in the game that they're hidden. Do you have filters turned on that might be hiding them?

Filters are all set correct, but this I forgot was a private event. So I shouldn't see them anyway.
My fault sorry Mark.

As per the administrator 4-11-08 ... and thanks again for all you do Mark ....

"As for when you get a flight, it depends on two things. First, you must establish a handicap. That means you need at least 5 rounds played in PLSA or CLSC events. Second, you must be competing in a swing/skill/game that has enough people for flights. Right now I have the minimum set to 15. So there must be at least 15 people who have a handicap for a particular swing/skill/game to be assigned flights. "

I don't understand how 2 players with a handicap of +12 are in flight E.
