Gosh, looks like this storm is going to be a cat 3 hurricane when it crosses the state right over my area by Thursday. Steve (IBhackin) time to start batten down some hatches. Getting lots of rain already.

My older brother lives in Melbourne also. I live in the mountains of NE Tennessee about 60 miles north of Asheville, NC that was devastated by Helene. We were spared with only minor damage, and no flooding. Prayers are with you in this time of need.

Don't think the hatches are going to help with this monster Jim, my arse would be headed north then west. Might be a good week to visit the RTJ golf trail for a round in southern Alabama

I guess I need to pick my times playing the next few days carefully. We did not get any damage or water problems near my house but today I had several blimps in the electric service and once already had to restart one of my rounds. I got lucky and all the bad rain and wind was just north of my place. The bottom part of the hurricane fell apart and spared me. Don't really know if Steve(IBhackin) got hit as he is north of me.

Hope you did ok Steve.

A lot of rain before it came ashore. But with that little move north, it went above us and we were in the hurricanes dry zone. Got almost no rain after it did that move. So we really dodge a bullet here in Melbourne. No power issue in my area and when I walked around I didn't see any damage either.
